A former Arsenal trainee, Kenny arrived on a one month loan from Peterborough United in October 1994. He got off to a winning start with a 5-0 thrashing of Crawley Town, but after making little impression in defeats at Dorchester Town and at home to Gloucester City, he was consigned to the bench for the final game of his loan spell, and he returned to Peterborough.

He was released by Peterborough in January 1995, and joined Stevenage Borough, becoming a main part of their Conference winning side in the 1995 / 1996 season. He was released again in the summer of 1997, joining Harrow Borough. After a brief spell at Aylesbury United the following year, he returned to Harrow Borough. No further record of his involvement with the game has been found through to 2018.
