He came to Nene Park on a one month loan on 8 October 1994 and made six appearances before returning to Hereford. He played over 60 games for them, and achieved the distinction of scoring a goal in August 1995 during a League match against Barnet. After being released, he joined Leyton Orient at the start of the 1998/1999 season, but following just the single season, he moved to Nuneaton Borough where he remained for four years, making over 150 appearances. After a season with Telford United, he joined Chester City in May 2004, before moving to Shrewsbury Town in May 2006 as a player/coach. Chris went out on loan to Kidderminster Harriers in September 2007 before making the move permanent in January 2008. He was released in May 2008 and signed for Hinckley United of the Conference North where he remained as their No.1 for two seasons. On 29 May 2010, he joined fellow Conference North side Corby Town, but signed for fellow Conference North side Alfreton Town on 10 February 2011, for a nominal fee. At the end of the season, his contract was cancelled by mutual consent and he rejoined Corby Town on 25 July 2011, to finish his career at the club where he began – retiring from the game on 29 February 2012, following their Hillier Senior Cup Semi Final victory over Long Buckby.
