Nathan was a product of the Peterborough Youth set system and signed a professional contract with the club in the summer of 2010. Nathan played as a striker or left sided midfield, and while with the youth team at Peterborough, had work experience with Tamworth, (August 2009), Spalding United (January 2010), and Boston United (January 2010). He arrived at Nene Park on a one month loan deal on 23 August 2010 and made his debut as a late substitute in the 1-0 victory over AFC Wimbledon on 24 August 2010.

During early-September, the loan deal was extended until the end of the year, but he returned to Peterborough United during early-October. On 4 January 2011, Nathan joined Conference North side Boston United on a one month loan deal, before joining Conference South side Woking on 3 March, on loan until the end of the season. He was released on his return to Peterborough, and joined Woking on a permanent basis on 28 June 2011. After 19 appearances (nearly all off the bench) and no goals, Nathan went on a one month loan to Conference South side Boreham Wood on 19 September 2011, before returning to the Cards. He was released by mutual consent on 1 December after 7 appearances and 1 goal, joining Boreham Wood on a permanent basis on 5 December but left after less then a month to join Conference South rivals Tonbridge Angels on 30 December 2011. on 3 January 2013, Nathan went on a one month loan to Isthmian Premier side Kingstonian which was extended for another month. Nathan returned briefly to the Longmead Stadium after 3 goals in 11 appearances for the K’s, but his contract was cancelled by mutual consent on 11 March 2013, and he joined Kingstonian. On 29 March 2013, he joined Southern League Premier side St.Neots Town. He joined Isthmian Premier side East Thurrock United at the start of the 2013/2014 season, but after 11 appearances and a single goal, left on 14 November 2013 to join Isthmian Division One North side Aveley. In July 2014, Nathan signed for Isthmian Premier side Leatherhead but left after just 4 games, joining Isthmian Division One North side Maldon & Tiptree on 11 September 2014.

He moved to Witham Town for the 2015/16 season, staying there until September 2017 moving to Waltham Abbey. He started the 2018/19 season with Cheshunt, but signed for Harlow Town at the end of September 2018. In February 2019 he joined Waltham Abbey.
