Jack started his career with Ipswich Town’s Academy as a striker, although he later shifted to a defensive role and was offered a pro-deal at Portman Road in June 2009. His brother Stuart and his dad George also played for the Ipswich Academy and reserves without making first team appearances, but Jack went one better making a first team appearance in the Carling Cup against Shrewsbury in August 2009 – to date his only first team appearance, although he has also regularly featured on the bench for The Tractor Boys. The nineteen year-old central defender joined Diamonds on a two month loan deal on 6 November 2009, and was an unused substitute in the FA Cup tie against Hinckley United. He made his first senior appearance against Kettering Town in the Hillier Senior Cup on 17 November 2009, and then went on to make his Blue Square Premier debut on 1st December 2009 as a half-time substitute for Simon Downer in the game at home to York City. Jack returned to Ipswich Town on the conclusion of the loan period at the end of December 2009. On 19 November 2010, Jack went out on a one month loan to Conference side Histon, making two appearances. Jack made three appearances for Ipswich at the start of the 2012/2013 season, but was unable to maintain a place in the starting line-up. He had the prospect of a move to Preston North End and had a trial with them at the start of 2013, but the dismissal of their manager Graham Westley saw him return again to Ipswich. On 26 February 2013, Jack went on a one month loan deal to Conference South side Chelmsford City, which was later extended until the end of the season. He made 17 appearances for the Clarets, including their Play-off defeat against Salisbury City before returning to Ipswich Town. On his return to Ipswich, he was released during early-May having made just 8 appearances in 4 years with the club. On 14 July 2013, Jack signed a two year deal with Isthmian Premier side Lowestoft Town, gaining promotion with them to the Conference North. He stayed there until early 2016 when he moved to Leiston, moving on to Felixstowe & Walton United prior to the 2018/19 season. In June 2019 he moved to Stowmarket Town. His Wikipedia entry is here.
