Ben started out at Boston United, where he made a single first team appearance at the end of the 2006/07 season. The following year, he joined the youth set up at Diamonds as a second year scholar. His strong performances at right back earned him a debut in the County Cup game at Corby in October 2007 and a League debut just before the end of the season. Despite this, he was released at the end of his scholarship in May 2008.

Ben joined Cambridge City of the BGB Premier League on 5 August 2008, before moving to Conference South side Bishop’s Stortford in the summer of 2009. On 26 March 2010, he joined Conference South side Chelmsford City, in their bid for promotion via the play-offs, and remained there for the following season. On 22 July 2012, he joined Conference South side Boreham Wood. He spent several seasons at Boreham Wood before signing for Dagenham & Redbridge on a two year deal in 2017.
