Alex was rewarded with a one year contract on 17 May 2007 and went out on a three month loan to St.Albans City on 6 September 2007 for some first time experience. He was recalled however on 26 October 2007, and went to Rugby Town until returning on 14 January 2008. He was released at the end of the season in May 2008 and joined Ryman League Division One North side Potters Bar Town.
