He went out on work experience at Rugby Town in March 2006, but was released at the end of the season in May. He joined Lewes, with a spell on loan at Worthing, but failed to settle in. He started the 2007/08 season with Harrow Borough making 8 appearances, before joining Margate in December on non-contract forms. Having turned down a move earlier in the year, he joined Ashford Town (Mdx) in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 3 June 2008. In late March 2010, he joined fellow Isthmian Premier side Carshalton Athletic, but was sidelined with injury throughout much of the 2010/2011 season. The club were relegated at the end of the 2012/2013 season and after three years with the club, and 97 appearances, Ricardo joined Isthmian Premier side Metropolitan Police on 3 July 2013. After a period playing for the Met Police reserves he moved on to VCD athletic where he played for three seasons before leaving the game.
