Born in Brisbane, Australia, Jamie came to the UK in the summer of 2002 after winning a scholarship with Reading. Thanks to his parents nationality, he had represented England at Under-20 level and the highly rated keeper was brought to Nene Park by Barry Hunter on 1 July 2005 for a season long loan. During his stay, he was only able to keep three clean sheets, although that was mainly down to a poor defence, and he conceded five in the Boxing Day 2005 defeat at Leyton Orient. After just 24 apprearances for Diamonds however, the loan was reviewed and he returned to Reading on 10 January 2006.

At the end of the 2005 / 2006 season, he was released by Reading and joined Wycombe Wanderers on a one year deal, which was later extended for a further three years. A knee injury kept him sidelined for most of the 2007 / 2008 season and first team action has been limited since his injury. On 11 March 2010, he was released and signed for League Two side Aldershot Town until the end of the season. In three years with the Shots, Jamie made 123 appearances, before being released to join Conference South club Basingstoke Town on 20 September 2013 as cover for their unavailable regular keeper. He moved on to join fellow Conference South side Whitehawk on 4 October 2013, but after a single appearance there he moved to Hayes & Yeading United. In 2014 he returned to Australia to join Brisbane Roar, and had a successful seven season spell with them before moving to Western United in 2021. His Wikipedia page is here.
