Nicky was offered a scholarship in the summer of 2004 after being released by the Charlton Athletic Academy. After impressing in the youth team and in reserve team fixtures, he made just a single appearance in the Maunsell Cup semi-final against Northampton Town in September 2004. He was also involved in the Cypriot under 19 squad, playing in a friendly against Romania in April 2005. Although allocated the squad number 32 for the following season (2005/06), he was not offered a contract at the end of his apprenticeship.

He joined Barnet the following season, but went out on loan to Welwyn Garden City in March 2007, before making his debut for the Bees the following month. He was released in May 2007. In August 2010, Nicky was playing for Molten Spartan South Midlands Division 1 side Welwyn Garden City.  No record of his involvement with the game has been found between 2012 and 2018.
