Scott was signed as an apprentice with the Youth set up at Nene Park having started out as a youngster with Ipswich Town. The Glasgow born centre half was given a first team opportunity in the Maunsell Cup semi-final on 14 September 2004, and made a number of appearances on the bench towards the end of the season. He made his League debut as a substitute at Macclesfield Town at the end of the season.

He was released at the end of his apprenticeship in May 2006, joining Ridgeons League Premier Division side Needham Market on 8 August 2006. He went on a brief loan period to Long Melford in October 2007, before joining Conard United. Scott then moved to Ipswich Wanderers briefly before signing for Hadleigh United in the summer of 2009. In January 2010, he joined Felixstowe & Walton United, for the remainder of the season. In July 2010, he returned to join Eastern Counties Division One side Ipswich Wanderers. No record of his involvement with the game has been found between 2012 and 2018.
