Mark was a former Fulham trainee who signed a professional contract in June 1990. He made his debut in March 1992, but was unable to get into the squad on a regular basis and joined Woking in August 1993. He was ever present in their 1994/1995 campaign and was instrumental in the FA Trophy winning side in 1994 and 1995. During his stay with Woking, he was capped with the England semi-professional side. After 103 League games, he was signed by Roger Ashby for £45,000 in August 1996 although injury prevented him from making his debut until 16 November in the 1-1 draw at Boreham Wood.
He was released the following summer and joined Kettering Town in May 1997. During his stay with the Poppies, he went out on loan to Wisbech Town in January 1999, and Hayes in May 2000, before being released. He went on to play for Worcester City and Bedford Town.
