Colin was another member of the 1991 / 1992 Rushden Town team to transfer across to the Nene Park following the merger. A local teacher by profession, the central defender had played in the final fixture at Hayden Road and after starting his football career at his hometown club, Poole Town, he moved to Northants, where he played for Wellingborough Town, before studying for a degree at Birmingham University. White there, he played for Alvechurch before moving on to Buckingham Town, Corby Town then joining Rushden Town. He made a belated start to the 1992 / 1993 season, eventually securing a place in the starting eleven in September but still failed to become a regular in the side until November. Once established however, he played in almost every game with Diamonds finishing in third place in that first season, scoring twice in the home games against Stourbridge and Bedworth United. Despite this record, he failed to appear for Diamonds the following season, and he left the club early in the season.

After leaving to join Racing Club Warwick, he joined Rothwell Town in 1995. A knee injury however while playing for the ‘Bones’ brought his football career to an early end in 1997. Colin still teaches locally in Northamptonshire and he currently manages the Gregory Celtic FC under-11 boys.
