He had originally been with Diamonds manager Roger Ashby at Wolverton before playing for Kettering Town and Barnet. He joined the Chairboys in the summer of 1987 and was in their side which did the double in 1993, winning the Conference title, as well as the FA Trophy. He also helped them to promotion the following season.

After some 13 appearances, the arrival of Steve Holden from Kettering Town saw him move down the pecking order and he departed in January 1996 to join Dagenham & Redbridge. He was in their side which lost the FA Trophy Final against Woking the following season. After a spell as Assistant Manager at New Bradwell St Peter he joined Aylesbury United as a coach for the start of the 2010-11 season.
