A former Peterborough United youngster, Daniel was snapped up by Diamonds following the closure of the youth set-up at London Road and steadily progressed through the youth ranks at Nene Park. He made his first team debut coming on in place of Dave Savage in the opening match of the 2005 / 2006 season in the home game against Darlington. After continuing to impress manager Barry Hunter in training and in reserve matches, the youngster forced his way into the starting line-up. Following two impressive performances against Lincoln and Peterborough, Daniel scored his only goal – a stunning volley away at Brian Talbot’s Oxford United and he signed a one year contract in April 2006. Following the departure of Barry Hunter, the 20-year old midfielder found it hard to break into the first team, making only four more appearances during the following season. After a period on loan at Rugby Town, he was one of seven players placed on the transfer market by new manager Graham Westley, and he was released by mutual consent on 31 January 2007.
Daniel initially had a short spell Corby Town, before joining UCL side Wellingborough Town, but injury limited his appearances. He took time out to gain his Level 2 coaching badges and is a staff member with the Arsenal Soccer Schools. He returned to Wellingborough Town but spent the latter part of 2008 out again with an injury, before returning to action in January 2009. Daniel signed for fellow UCL side Thrapston Town in July 2011, but didn’t play for them during the season, concentrating on his coaching. He signed for AFC Rushden & Diamonds on 27 June 2013, but after just two substitute appearances, he transferred to fellow UCL Premier side Desborough Town on 14 September 2013. He left at the end of the season, and joined UCL Division One side Thrapston Town in late-August 2014.
